Global Logistics Coordinator

Company Overview:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as an Global Logistics Coordinator. The primary purpose of this role is to efficiently coordinate international logistics activities to ensure the seamless distribution of our client's apparel and accessories from their overseas production partners to their Australian head office, international subsidiaries, and global distribution network.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate International Shipments: Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, including coordinating the movement of products from production partners to various destinations in Australia.

  1. Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with international customs regulations and documentation requirements to facilitate smooth customs clearance for shipments.

  1. Inventory Management: Collaborate with relevant teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and track the movement of products to optimize stock levels across all locations.

  1. Carrier and Vendor Management: Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and production partners to negotiate rates, manage relationships, and address any issues that may arise during the transportation process.

  1. Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of international shipments, potential delays, and other relevant logistics information. Generate reports to analyse and improve logistics performance.

  1. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the international logistics supply chain.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in international logistics and supply chain coordination.

- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, freight forwarding, and carrier management.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask and problem-solve.

- Proficient in relevant logistics and inventory management software.
